Nasdaq crashes 2.43% while the S&P falls 1.43%.
US stock markets saw significant losses at Wednesday’s closure.
The S&P 500 dropped 60 points, or 1.43%, to 4,186, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 105 points, or 0.32%, to close at 33,035 as well.
With 318 points lost, or 2.43%, the Nasdaq closed the session at 12,821.
The fear index, or VIX volatility index, increased 6.4% to 20.19. The yield on the US Treasury 10-year increased 2.5% to 4.961%.
Against the greenback, the euro gained 0.05% to $1.0568, while the dollar index rose by 0.25% to 106.53.
Mixed results were seen in precious metals, with silver down 0.2% to $22.87 and gold up 0.4% to $1,980 an ounce.
With the US standard West Texas Intermediate crude at $85.29 and the worldwide benchmark Brent crude at $90.03 per barrel, oil prices increased by about 1%.
