Ukraine-Russian war: Four killed when Putin’s men attack Zelensky’s hometown and Kherson

A police officer lost his life in Kryvyi Rih, the city where Volodymyr Zelensky was born, as a result of Russian missile attacks that killed three other people across Ukraine.

Additionally, three people perished on Friday when a Russian bomb exploded in the southern Ukrainian village of Odradokamianka.

Another target of an airstrike was the Danube River port city of Izmail. Oleh Kiper, the regional governor of Odesa, claimed that one person was hurt and that the attack damaged infrastructure, including grain silos.

In the meantime, the “sham elections” Russia held on Friday in the seized territories of Ukraine have been condemned as “worthless” and “without legal standing” by the Ukrainian foreign ministry.

In four Ukrainian regions that it does not entirely control—Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson—Russia is organizing regional elections.

The elections being held on Ukrainian soil, according to the government, “grossly violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine” as well as international law.
