Thousands of Jordanians protest the Israeli bombing on Gaza in Amman

March marks the conclusion of the humanitarian halt and the start of Israeli bombing.

For the eighth Friday in a row, thousands of Jordanians marched in support of those living in the Gaza Strip, which has been under Israeli assault since October 7.

According to an Anadolu correspondent, the march started after Friday prayers in front of the Al-Husseini Mosque in the heart of Amman, the capital, and continued to Palm Square.

Under the banner “At your command, Gaza,” the march was arranged at the Islamic Action Front Party’s invitation.

The march took place at the same time that an Israeli attack resumed and the humanitarian truce ended.

In the meantime, Jordan called for a “deterrent” international posture against Tel Aviv on Friday and denounced the restart of Israel’s “futile, aggressive” attack on the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement in which it “condemned the resumption of the senseless Israeli aggressive war on the Gaza Strip.”

The statement reaffirmed “the Kingdom’s strong rejection and condemnation of the resumption of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.”

“Bear its responsibility, deter Israel from committing more crimes against civilians, and stop its senseless war on Gaza,” was the appeal made to the world community.

Following the conclusion of the humanitarian pause, Israel began its military operations against the Gaza Strip early on Friday. Targeting several sites in the enclave’s north, center, and south, the operation resulted in scores of deaths and injuries, according to the Gaza ministry.

Israel started hitting different sites in the Gaza Strip, resulting in at least 32 Palestinian deaths and multiple injuries, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

The cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, which was enforced on November 24, came to an end early on Friday.
