Palestinian properties in the West Bank are set on fire by Israeli settlers

Settlers burn the house, truck, and sheep pen

On Friday, Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian buildings in Kisan, a community east of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank.

“The settlers burned a house, a vehicle, and a sheep pen,” Mousa Ubayyat, chairman of the local council, told Anadolu.

“The fire caused significant damage to the properties without any reported human casualties,” he went on to say.

Ubayyat stated that the hamlet has been subjected to growing settlers’ attacks since the commencement of the Gaza conflict on October 7, 2023.

According to estimates, over 700,000 Israeli settlers dwell in 300 illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

All Jewish settlements in the occupied regions are unlawful according to international law.

Tensions have remained high in the West Bank since Israel started a devastating military incursion against the Gaza Strip in response to a Hamas strike on October 7.

According to the Health Ministry, Israeli army shooting in the occupied territories has killed at least 394 Palestinians and injured 4,400 others.

Israel is accused of genocide by the International Court of Justice for its devastating assault on the Gaza Strip, which has killed over 28,600 people.

In an interim verdict issued in January, the Hague-based court ordered Tel Aviv to halt genocidal activities and take steps to ensure that humanitarian aid is delivered to residents in Gaza.
