Donald Trump recently shared AI-generated images of Taylor Swift and her fans (often called “Swifties”), falsely implying that the singer endorses him.

Former President Donald Trump recently shared a post on Truth Social featuring a series of images, some of which were AI-generated, falsely suggesting that Taylor Swift supports his campaign. One manipulated image depicted Swift as Uncle Sam with the phrase, “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.” Other images showed Swift fans wearing “Swifties for Trump” shirts. A representative for Swift did not immediately respond for comment.

One of the posts Trump shared was confirmed as satire by its original creator, who acknowledged the images were AI-generated. However, two photos in the post were real and taken at a Trump rally in Wisconsin by Jessica McBride. They featured a woman named Jenna Piwowarczyk, who spoke out, stating that many Swift fans hold conservative views and support Trump.

Although Taylor Swift has not officially endorsed any presidential candidate in the current election cycle, she has been a vocal supporter of Democratic candidates in the past. In 2020, she endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, criticizing Trump for his stance on several issues.

A group called “Swifties for Kamala” has emerged to support Vice President Harris in her presidential bid. The group, unaffiliated with Swift herself, was created after Biden endorsed Harris. Swift’s political stance has become more visible in recent years, advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, women’s rights, and speaking against Trump during the 2020 elections.
