According to an aid agency, Israel forbids the delivery of fuel into Gaza
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, up to 155 additional relief trucks crossed into the Gaza Strip on Tuesday via the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.
According to the humanitarian organization, the trucks were filled with essential goods like food, water, relief materials, and medications and medical equipment. However, shipments of fuel were prohibited.
A total of 1,135 relief vehicles have been permitted access to the beleaguered Palestinian enclave since October 21. However, the amount does not even come close to meeting the needs of people impacted by the Israeli assault.
Until the start of the war in Gaza on October 7, 500 trucks of goods—45 of which were fuel trucks—a day were allowed to enter the territory under the Israeli embargo, which lasted 16 years. It has resulted in a catastrophic shortage of all necessities in Gaza, including gasoline, which hospitals urgently need.
The most recent statistics from Palestinian authorities show that since October 7, at least 11,240 Palestinians have died as a result of Israeli air and ground attacks. Thousands of structures, such as churches, mosques, and hospitals, have also suffered partial or whole destruction.
Meanwhile, 1,200 Israelis have died, according to government data.
