WhatsApp Flows, which will allow businesses all over the world to develop engaging in-chat experiences; WhatsApp Payment-to-Merchant, which will increase payment alternatives for Indian firms; and Meta Verified for Business are among the new features.
At the Conversations conference in Mumbai on Wednesday, WhatsApp unveiled new tools for Indian companies. Included in the features are WhatsApp Flows, which will let companies all across the world design interactive in-chat experiences, and WhatsApp Payment-to-Merchant, which will provide Indian companies more payment alternatives. Additionally, with a rollout in a few nations, Meta Verified for Business will charge a fee and provide verified badges, account assistance, and premium features for businesses on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Businesses can design customized experiences directly within chat threads thanks to WhatsApp Flows. Thus, without having to leave the chat thread, a bank could create a way for customers to schedule an appointment to open a new account, a food delivery service could create a way for customers to order anything from any of their partner restaurants, and an airline could create a way for customers to check in and select a seat. The WhatsApp Channels feature was formally launched earlier this month in India and 150 other nations by the messaging application. This function acted as a one-way broadcast tool, enabling users to get updates from people and businesses right inside the WhatsApp app.
In partnership with organizations including the International Rescue Committee (IRC), the World Health Organization (WHO), FC Barcelona, and Manchester City, WhatsApp first debuted Channels in June in Colombia and Singapore.
